Danish Healthcare & Life Science Export Promotion to Beijing and Greater Bay Area

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Beijing, The Consulate General of Denmark in Guangzhou, together with the Danish Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Danish Industry and Healthcare Denmark are pleased to invite you to participate in an upcoming health and life sciences delegation visit to the Beijing and Greater Bay Area (Shenzhen and Hong Kong) from 22 – 26 February 2027 with high-level participation from the Minister for Health & Minister of Ecclesiastical Affairs of Denmark.

The Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a national development initiative encompassing Hong Kong, Macao and nine major cities, each with over a million inhabitants, in the large southern Chinese province of Guangdong. It brings together one of China’s most dynamic regions, with more than 87 million inhabitants and some of the world’s leading innovation ecosystems and technology companies. The GBA aims to integrate manufacturing, research and technological development into one interconnected region, while improving the business environment and framework conditions, particularly by strengthening links between Hong Kong and mainland China

Life science research and development in southern China, along with the GBA’s pilot initiatives for life science collaboration—including more flexible rules on cross-border clinical trials and data exchange—take place in locations such as the Hetao development zone, a joint innovation and research area on the border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen in mainland China. For Danish companies, this makes Hong Kong and Shenzhen ideal locations for gaining insight into new market opportunities and regulatory developments in China’s life science sector

Joining this delegation will give Danish companies an insightful combination of the understanding the political development and priorities within life science and healthcare in Beijing and gain insight and learn about market opportunities in Southern China through Hong Kong.

Price: 25.125 DKK

The participation fee is indicative and based on an assumption of the eventual number of participating companies. The exact and final participation fee will be communicated to all signed up companies, as soon as the deadline for sign-up has expired. However, we expect the price to be very close to 25,000 DKK (this does not include accomodation and flight from Denmark and in China)
